The fine print, honestly

No hidden gotchas. Here's the truth.

This is not MLM. One level deep. Sub-affiliate bonus is 5% of their initial sales for 3 months only. No downline override. No residual on a recruit's recurring book. Period.

Performance minimum. Stay active by closing at least one paying business referral every 90 days. Below that, you get a 30-day warning. Below that, deactivation.

You're an independent contractor. Not an employee. No benefits, no W-2, no withholdings. You'll fill a W-9 before your first payout. You handle your own taxes.

30-day termination, either side. You can leave. We can let you go. Commissions earned through your last day get paid on the next scheduled payout. No clawbacks if a customer cancels after you've earned.

No earnings guarantees, ever. Every projection on this page is illustrative. Your results depend on your effort, sales skill, retention rates, and a hundred things outside our control. We will never let you make income claims to prospects you can't back up.

Common questions

Ask anything.

Is this MLM or a pyramid scheme?

No. Our agreement says it in writing. We pay 5% on a direct referral's initial sales for their first 90 days. After 90 days you earn nothing from them. One level deep, time-limited, no override on their recurring book. The 95%+ of your earnings will always come from your own direct sales. If you want a downline business, this is not it.

How and when do I get paid?

Initial commissions (20%) are paid every Tuesday by 2pm EST for the prior Sun-Sat week. Renewal commissions, milestone bonuses, volume bonuses, and sub-affiliate referrals are paid monthly on the 15th by 2pm EST. All payouts via Stripe to your bank account. Minimum payout is $50 — anything below rolls forward.

What happens if my customer cancels?

Your renewal commission on that customer stops at the end of their current billing period. We do not claw back commissions you've already earned. The initial 20% commission and any milestone bonus are yours forever. The recurring stops because the customer stopped paying.

Can I sell outside my state?

Yes. Voilà LOCAL is a nationwide platform. You can sell to businesses in any of the 50 states, regardless of where you live. You will be responsible for tax reporting in your state of residence (1099-NEC).

Do I need sales experience?

Yes — this is not a first sales job. We're looking for people who've already closed a few hundred deals somewhere. B2B SaaS, real estate, network marketing, local services, financial services. If you've never sold anything, get a couple years under your belt first and come back. If you've already sold harder products for worse pay, this is your upgrade.

How fast does the roadshow playbook get built?

Honestly — we're building it with the first cohort. If you're one of the first 5-10 Founding Partners, you'll co-create the playbook with us. We'll hand-build your event toolkit, slide deck, and venue partnership materials. By the time we approve cohort 2, the playbook will be production-ready. This is the trade-off of being early — you shape it, you benefit from being first.

Can I do this part-time?

Yes — though to maintain active status, you need at least one paying referral every 90 days. The solo model fits part-time pace better than the roadshow model. Most Founding Partners will start part-time and decide whether to scale into roadshows full-time after the first 2-3 months.

What if I bring an existing book of business contacts?

Bring them. There's no exclusivity restriction — Voilà LOCAL doesn't conflict with most other things you might sell to small businesses. Your contacts are your contacts. We don't claim them, we don't share them, and you keep your relationships.

Why selective approval? Why can't anyone join?

Every business on Voilà LOCAL is personally reviewed by Jennifer. The people who sell on our behalf get the same standard. We'd rather have 50 serious closers than 500 dabblers — fewer affiliates means more uncaptured territory for each of you, and our brand doesn't get diluted by people who overstate, oversell, or shortcut. Your fellow partners matter to your earnings.
