No. We approve on taste, not follower count. A creator with 800 engaged followers who actually trust them beats 80,000 disengaged scroll-bys every time. What we look for: genuine knowledge of your category, real credibility, a voice your audience actually listens to. If that's you, the size doesn't matter.
How is this different from existing social platforms?

Does my content have to be local?
No. While many creators on Voilà focus on local — that's where curation thrives — content doesn't have to be. You can post about anything in your category: fashion, beauty, design, food, wellness, travel, books, parenting, anything. What matters is that you have taste and an audience who trusts it. The platform surfaces good creators to people who'll appreciate them, regardless of category.
Will I reach new people or just my existing followers?
Both — and the new audience is the real benefit. Voilà's discovery layer surfaces your creator page to locals who match your category and taste, even if they've never heard of you. So your existing audience follows you over from social (no algorithm gatekeeping their feed), AND new people find you because the platform is designed to surface taste. What's the difference between Local, Regional, and Nationwide?
It's about reach. Local ($59.99/mo) reaches your city + 50 miles — great if your audience is concentrated locally. Regional ($79.99/mo) covers one of the four US Census regions (Northeast, Midwest, South, West) — for creators with cross-state audiences. Nationwide ($99.99/mo) covers all 50 states — for truly national creators. You can upgrade or downgrade anytime from your dashboard.
Can I still post on social media?
Of course. Voilà LOCAL is additive, not exclusive. Most creators use Voilà as their "trusted recommendation" home base — the calm, curated place — and use social to drive followers to it. You own all your channels. We just want to be the one that respects you the most.
Can I make affiliate income on businesses I feature?
Through our partner program, yes — if you're also approved as a Voilà affiliate, you can earn commissions when locals you bring sign up for paid memberships or your featured businesses upgrade. See the Founding Partners page for details. Creator and Affiliate are separate applications.
What if I'm not approved?
We tell you why and what you can do. Most declines are about category fit or location — we're rolling out city by city. If your area hasn't launched, we keep you on a priority list. No payment until you're approved and you've picked a tier, so no risk to apply.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime from your dashboard. Your creator page stays live until the end of your billing period, then it's archived (so your followers don't get a dead link, they get a "creator paused" notice). Your content stays yours, and you can come back anytime.
Why is there an application?
Curation. The creators on Voilà are vetted personally by Jennifer. The locals trust the platform because every voice on it earned a spot. We'd rather have 50 great creators than 5,000 mediocre ones — and that scarcity is what makes being a Voilà creator mean something.
